What’s the difference between a workshop and a class?We offer both one-time Workshops and two-part Intro Classes—each designed to give you a hands-on experience with stained glass, but with different goals in mind. Workshops One-time experience (2–3 hours) Perfect for beginners, date nights, and creative outings Make a small project like a suncatcher or ornament Learn to cut, grind, foil, and solder All materials and tools included Take your piece home the same day! Intro Classes Two-session course (2 hours each) Designed for those ready to dive deeper Create a more detailed project with time to refine your technique Learn cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing All tools and materials provided Great for both beginners and returning students Take your finished project home after your second session

Who can take a class?Classes and workshops are open to anyone 12 years or older. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What should I bring?We’ve got all the materials and tools you need—just bring: Closed-toe shoes Reading glasses (if needed) Your creativity! Safety gear (goggles and masks) is provided.

When do I take my project home?Workshops: You’ll leave with your finished piece the same day. Intro Classes: You’ll take your completed project home after your second session. Intermediate: Anytime or once you've completed your project during open studio time.

After the Intro class, what’s next?Try our Intermediate Class. Recommended as a two-session experience, this class is for anyone who’s completed the intro course and is ready to level up their skills. You’ll learn: More advanced soldering techniques (including a different type of solder) How to cut deep curves and difficult shapes Tips for cleaner design and assembly Bring your own designs, or we’ll help you create one! Any remaining work from your project can be completed during Open Studio Time with light guidance from our instructors.

What’s the Intermediate class?The Intermediate Class is the next step after completing our Intro Class (or if you already have basic stained glass experience). It’s designed to help you build on your skills with more creative freedom and advanced techniques. In this class, you'll: Learn how to cut deeper curves Practice more advanced soldering, including a second type of solder Work with more complex patterns Get hands-on help while creating a design that’s all your own You can bring a design idea ahead of time or collaborate with us to create one. We recommend taking two sessions to complete your project, then finish up any remaining work during Open Studio Time. This class is all about helping you grow your confidence, refine your technique, and bring your vision to life!

What is Open Studio Time?Open Studio is for artists and hobbyists who are ready to work independently on their stained glass projects. Who it's for: You've taken our Beginner and Intermediate Classes, or You already have experience with stained glass and are confident using the tools and techniques on your own What's included: Full access to tools and workstations Friendly, supportive studio environment Instructors available for light guidance (but no formal instruction) Bring your own materials or purchase glass, foil, solder, flux, and more from our supply wall Book by the hour or choose a monthly pass This is a creative, community space—ideal for continuing your practice, exploring new designs, and connecting with fellow glass artists.

Do you offer private group experiences?Yes! We offer customizable group packages centered around our suncatcher stained glass workshops for birthdays, bachelorette parties, team building, or just a fun night out. Visit our Group Packages page to learn more. The price includes all necessary materials (glass, solder, copper foil, etc.), use of tools, expert instruction from our Glass of Life artists, and a fun, creative experience! Add-ons like wine and grazing boards are available at booking.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?We require a minimum of 4 guests and can comfortably accommodate up to 8. Larger groups? Contact us—we’ll do our best to make it work.

How long does a private group event typically last?Our standard suncatcher workshop is approximately 2 - 3 hours depending on the group size.

How far in advance should we book?Please book at least one week in advance, especially for weekends or evenings. Need something sooner? Call us at 727-237-6223.

What's your cancellation policy for group packages?A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. Cancellations made 48+ hours in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable.

Do you offer gift cards?Yes! Glass of Life gift cards are a perfect way to share the joy of stained glass with someone special. You can purchase a digital gift card directly on our Gift Card page or in the studio. Choose the amount, add a personal message, and send it instantly.

Do they expire?Nope! Our gift cards never expire.

What are your hours?We operate on two types of hours depending on your needs: Shop Hours Our wine retail shop, Adult Therapy, is open for browsing, shopping, and independent Open Studio (for experienced glass artists). A stained glass instructor may not be available during Shop Hours. Studio Hours A dedicated glass instructor is in-house during these times—for classes, guidance, and supported Open Studio sessions. If you're taking a class or need assistance, plan your visit during Studio Hours. Planning a private event? Please request a time directly on the Group Event Inquiry Form and we’ll coordinate with you!

Is parking available?Yes, there's free street parking around the shop and in the back. Be sure to park in spots marked Customer, not Residence, to avoid towing.

Is your studio wheelchair accessible?Yes, our studio is fully wheelchair accessible. Contact us with any specific needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I reschedule?Yes! Life happens. You can reschedule your session—just reach out and we’ll get you sorted. For other cancellation questions, please contact us directly.

Is there an age requirement?Yes! Participants must be 12 years or older to take part in any class or workshop. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. We love having creative families in the studio—just make sure everyone meets the age requirements for safety and enjoyment.

Stained Glass Class
Ready for the next level? This class is designed for students who have completed both Beginner sessions and are ready to grow their skills. Choose your own template—or work with us to create a custom design.
We’ll introduce more advanced techniques and tools, including how to work with complex shapes and refine your soldering.
Two Intermediate sessions are recommended. After that, you can book Open Studio Time to continue creating at your own pace.
